Jim Pfertner is a Senior Director and Portfolio Manager at Invesco’s Listed Real Assets team. Jim is responsible for fundamental and securities research on real asset securities.

Jim began his investment career in 2001 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2013. Prior to joining Invesco, he was a director at Highland Capital Management, LP, where he focused on Identifying investment opportunities in both debt and equity investments. In addition, he managed a portfolio of commercial mortgage-backed securities, real estate investment trusts, syndicated loans and equity real estate investments. Previously, he was an investment analyst for PGIM, underwriting commercial and multi-family properties across the US for debt investment opportunities. Jim also held various roles with JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
