Thomas Au joined Invesco Real Estate in July 2006 and is the Head of Asia Pacific Real Estate Research. He has extensive experience in the real estate sector with sound knowledge of key markets in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Invesco Real Estate, Thomas was a director of research and consultancy of Savills (Hong Kong) Ltd. where he conducted various consulting projects including market studies, asset reviews and feasibility studies for institutional investors, real estate developers and listed property trusts. Before joining Savills, Thomas also obtained substantial experience in property valuation from the valuation departments of Chesterton Petty Ltd. and First Pacific Davies (Hong Kong) Ltd. where he conducted real estate valuation for clients for financing, litigation and taxation purposes.

Thomas earned a Master of Science in Financial Management degree from the University of London (United Kingdom), a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying (Real Estate Development) from the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong) and a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo (Canada). He is a member of both the Asian Executive Committee and the Asian Investment Committee of Invesco Real Estate.
