Matthew Brooks is a member of the investment team for Invesco Private Credit Group. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing, analysing, and executing distressed investment opportunities.

Matthew joined Invesco in 2013. Prior to joining Invesco, he was at Barclays Private Credit Partners, a private credit opportunities fund. While at Barclays Private Credit Partners, Matthew was responsible for evaluating and executing private credit investments in middle market sponsor backed companies within the healthcare, industrials, services, software, and retail sectors.

Prior to Barclays Private Credit Partners, Matthew worked at Evercore Partners as an investment banker in the Restructuring Group where he advised on both in-and out-of-court restructurings.

Matthew began his career at UBS Investment Bank as an investment banker in the Restructuring and Leveraged Finance Group.

Matthew earned his B.A. in Economics and Finance from McGill University.
